An alternate promotional run inspired by Domo Genisis and The Alchemist’s ‘No Idols’ originally released in 2012, this outcome celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the duo’s eccentric project.
Packed full of psychadelic and soulful sounds, visually the goal here was to build on that sense of griminess and surrealism that make the album great. The dychotomy between power and identity is key to the record, and is expressed through the use of President Kennedy and the moments captured by the media minutes before his death.
One without context does not know the significance of these blank-faced individuals, nor the importance that this moment would go on to hold — a reflection of the sentimental, introspective messages the album represents.
